Nothing has been written. A stage change moves people between groups, so it says who moves, out of which group and into which, and who cannot be added to the new one — before it does anything.

The four add up to the 2 people you ticked. If they ever did not, the missing people would be the ones nobody would think to look for. All 0 records move. The difference between the columns is only whether WhatsApp will let us put them in the new group — the record is the truth and the group is a copy of it.

0 people would move to 7-Day, each of them leaving the stage group they are in now at their own centre and joining that centre’s 7-Day group. Their centre does not change, their main group does not change, and volunteering — which is a flag and not a stage — does not change either.

Every one of these is a fact somebody asserts, so it would be recorded with your name and today’s date on it, and would show on each person’s journey.

Why this looks like the import preview

Because it answers the same question. Nothing is written until somebody has seen what would happen, and the people WhatsApp will not let us add are named rather than dropped. Two screens that mean the same thing should look the same. The other one. What a group IS — a list somebody keeps, or a consequence of a fact — decides whether anybody may be put into it at all, and that is written down once in lib/groupKinds.ts so this screen and the group picker cannot drift apart. A volunteers group is the volunteers, so adding somebody marks them as volunteering. That flag runs alongside whatever stage they are at and is never a stage of its own — and it is written, so it is said before it happens.
